15 Minutes of Fame, Part One....

This post has been evolving over the past few months. I haven't posted anything up until now. Basically, the new Mark Wahlberg film is shooting in Boston....

I won't get into details, but I was approached to possible be in the movie. I thought about it and was kind of psyched. But then the film crew changed the date of filming to when my husband and I had planned our San Francisco vacation.

Looks like I was out. But, the members of the film crew kept asking me to change my plans. Finally, yesterday they came in and said "are you sure you don't want to do it", and i explained that my husband and I had already planned our vacation, and I had to speak to him to change it.

So, I came home, and Matthew said that he wouldn't mind if we changed our vacation as this is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

so, I cancelled my plans, paid a bit in penalties, and texted the guy. He texted me back saying he was going to check things on his end, because he wasn't sure if the film company cast someone else, since I wouldn't be there.

Well, I woke up this morning to find the email stating that they went with alternate casting already since I had told them I wouldn't be able to do it. The letter stated that it was too bad, as Seth 'really wanted you to be in it'.


So, I lost my San Francisco vacation and now I don't even get to be a part of the filming.

Can you say "Gee, Ron , you are a fucking idiot?!?!", because that's how I feel right now.

'That's Hollywood', as they say.

Two weeks Later...

I don't want to jinx anything or spoil anything, BUT I have been asked 'Can you do it, because it has come from 'on high' that they want you....'

Of course I said yes.

Keep your fingers crossed....I know nothing of what will happen, or if I will be on camera, or if I need to say anything....or anything like that.  I'm not even sure if Mark Wahlberg will be there, but it would be really awesome if he is.

Tomorrow is the day of the filming.  It's also my day off, so I hope that they don't actually want to film me 'working' in the background, as I REALLY am not working at all tomorrow.

Ha Ha!  I got my hair cut, got a camera to take some nice shots of the production (if I am allowed), so I hope that maybe, just maybe, I will end up on the screen of a theater near you very soon.

Probably not, but I can dream, can't I?
